Starbucks have just announced that they have launched a blockchain based loyalty program and an NFT community available to its first group of US testers
This initiative is an extension of Starbucks’ loyalty program – Starbucks Rewards – but based on the blockchain and uses the Polygon network
Before now, users have been able to earn perks that includes free drinks. The new rewards program is in line with the Starbucks Odyssey launched earlier this year
At 500 reward points, users will earn what Starbucks calls “Stamps”. These are coffee themed NFTs minted on Polygon
These NFTs allows holders gain access to real world experiences like watching videos, taking quizzes or playing puzzles
