A rare CryptoPunk NFT was sold on Thursday for approximately $11.7m.
The “Covid Alien” NFT is one of only 9 in the series of “alien punks” and its the only one with a mask on it.
This sets a new world record for CryptoPunk auctions.
The last time this particular CryptoPunk NFT was sold was in 2017 for 8ETH.
Someone with the name Sillytuna recently acquired it at an undisclosed price through OTC before now selling for $11.7
That’s some crazy returns for a 4 year period.
